When Should My Child First See a Dentist?
The American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend a first dental visit by your child's first birthday, or within six months of their first tooth appearing. An early visit lets us check how teeth and gums are developing, answer your questions about teething, pacifiers and thumb sucking, and help your child get used to the office before any problems come up.
Dental Emergencies in Children
Kids are active, and accidents happen. If your child has a toothache, swelling, or a chipped, cracked or knocked-out tooth, call us right away at (724) 962-2138. We make room for emergencies whenever we can. If a permanent tooth is knocked out, gently rinse it, keep it moist in milk or in the cheek, and come in immediately. Do not try to put back a baby tooth.
One Office for the Whole Family
Bring everyone to one place. We offer appointments Monday through Wednesday, 7 AM to 7 PM, which can make it easier to fit visits around school and work.
